Canberra’s Public Cemeteries are administered by the ACT Public Cemeteries Authority, which reports to the ACT Government through the Minister for Transport and City Services.
Staff are committed to meeting the requirements of families, arranging burials and placing ashes, as well as assisting families and visitors with an interest in the cemetery. Staff are also available to show people through the cemeteries.
All cemeteries are open everyday until sunset, with seats and shady areas provided at all cemeteries. Grave indexes, which are regularly updated, are located at Gungahlin and Woden Cemeteries and also available 24/7 on our website.
